Dawn commenced her legal career at NUI Galway where graduated with a B. Corp Law (Honours) and LLB (Honours) Degrees.  Following further studies at the Law Society of Ireland, she qualified as a Solicitor in January, 2004. She has since pursued further studies in the areas of Employment Law, Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring and Trusts and Estate Planning with the Law Society of Ireland. Dawn is also an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser, having successfully trained and qualified as an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.  She is also a former member of the Taxation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.

 

Dawn worked for Deutsche International (Ireland) Limited in Dublin’s International Financial Services Centre where she gained practical experience in the Legal and Company Secretarial Department.  She subsequently spent over nine years in employment with one of Galway’s leading Law Firms, before joining Sheehan and Company, Solicitors.  

 

Through her employment Dawn has gained extensive experience in handling commercial and residential property transactions, acting on behalf of a wide range of clients on acquisitions, disposals and financing of commercial and residential properties as well as advising on commercial leases, landlord and tenant law, licence agreements and mortgages and finance and as a result has built up a high level of experience and expertise in these areas.  She also deals with Wills and Estate Planning and Administration and has a wealth of experience in dealing with litigation actions, advising the Firm’s clients on contentious employment, contractual and equity issues.
